What information do you need to quote a new injection mold?

To provide an accurate quotation, we typically need: 3D CAD data (STEP or IGES format preferred), 2D drawings with tolerances, the intended production material, estimated annual volume, target number of cavities, preferred mold base standard (HASCO, DME, LKM, etc.), and your target delivery timeline. If you don't have all of this yet, our engineering team can still give you a budgetary estimate based on part dimensions and your production goals — just send what you have and we'll work from there.

What are your typical mold lead times?

Lead time depends on the mold's complexity, size, cavity count, and current production schedule. As a general guideline: a simple single-cavity mold may take 4–6 weeks, a medium-complexity automotive interior mold 6–9 weeks, and a large multi-cavity bumper mold 10–14 weeks. We provide a detailed project timeline at the quotation stage and keep you updated with progress photos and milestone reports throughout the build.

Do you provide mold design and DFM analysis?

Yes — DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis is standard on every project. Before cutting steel, our engineers review your part design for moldability, suggest gate placement and ejection strategies, run mold flow simulation to predict fill behavior, and share a full 3D mold design for your approval. This upfront engineering step catches potential issues early when they are cheapest and easiest to fix.

What quality certifications do you hold?

We are ISO 9001 certified and operate under a documented quality management system. Every mold undergoes in-house tryout with production-grade material, and we deliver T1 sample inspection reports with dimensional verification data. For automotive customers, we support PPAP submissions at the required level (typically Level 3), including PFMEA, control plans, MSA, and process capability studies.

What mold steels and materials do you use?

We select mold steel based on the production material, expected cycle life, and part finish requirements. Commonly used steels include S136 (for high-polish optical and lamp molds), 718H and NAK80 (general-purpose pre-hardened), H13 (for high-wear engineering resins), and P20 (cost-effective for moderate volumes). We also work with aluminum for low-volume and prototype tooling when appropriate. Materials are sourced with full mill certifications.

Can you handle hot-runner molds?

Yes — we have extensive experience with hot-runner systems from leading suppliers including Yudo, Mold-Masters, Husky, and Synventive. Hot-runner integration is common in our automotive and high-volume consumer product molds, where eliminating cold-runner waste and reducing cycle time delivers a strong return on the additional tooling investment.

Do you offer injection molding production, or just mold making?

We do both. Many customers use us for mold-only procurement — we build the tool, trial it, and ship it to their production facility. Others ask us to also run production volumes, especially for programs where keeping the mold and production under one roof simplifies logistics and quality oversight. We're flexible and structure the program around what works best for your supply chain.

How do you handle mold maintenance and warranty?

Every mold ships with a comprehensive documentation package including a maintenance guide, recommended preventative maintenance schedule, spare parts list, and assembly drawings. We provide a standard warranty on mold materials and workmanship, and we stock common wear components (ejector pins, guide bushings, etc.) for quick replacement if needed. Our after-sales team remains available for technical support throughout the life of the tool.

Can we visit your factory?

Absolutely — we welcome factory visits and encourage customers to see our facility and meet the engineering team. We're located in Taizhou's Huangyan District, approximately 1 hour by road from Taizhou Luqiao Airport (HYN) and 3.5 hours from Shanghai by high-speed rail. Please schedule your visit in advance so we can prepare a proper agenda and ensure the relevant engineering staff are available to meet with you.
